Our name, e-HCIK, stands for "electronic Health Care Innovation in Kagawa". We are non-profit organization with focuses in telemedicine, perinatal care, and other medical interests within Kagawa prefecture, Japan, and abroad.

Our organization was founded on December of 2011. It was established under a request of a Kagawa prefectural government as it was designated to become a national comprehensive special zone of medical and social welfare directed by the Cabinet Office, and required a NPO that administers activities within the special zone. We are involved in various domestic and international activities and projects that pertains to telemedicine. Currently we are actively participating in JICA’s grassroots technological cooperation project as a member of an Executive Committee of Telemedicine Supporting Project.
