9/20/18 AIST!!!
Hello to all, it's your usual e-HCIK staff here.
It's been raining for a while in Kagawa, Japan☂☂☂ I guess the summer heat is now gone though (^^)
Yesterday, we had a meeting at AIST. Can you guess what it stands for??
It's an abbreviation of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology. According to its official website, "The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), one of the largest public research organizations in Japan, focuses on the creation and practical realization of technologies useful to Japanese industry and society, and on “bridging” the gap between innovative technological seeds and commercialization".
It has several branch centers in Japan, and one of them is here in Takamatsu, Kagawa!
The reason why we visited this facility is... well, not to do bizarre experiments, only for scheduled meeting for Health Care Innovation Forum (HCIF).
This Health Care Innovation Forum is another organization that our NPO is involved in, which strives to create realistic platform to bring about healthy and longevity society, establishing a national standard by first becoming and integrating a cutting edge technology existing in Shikoku area.
Although I am not from a science or engineering background, I was very excited to hear all the updates from the members and some of the latest medical and healthcare topics that were discussed. I am certainly wishing that they will become a reality in a near future.
By the way, president Hara received a souvenir from Myanmar. It's a traditional musical instrument like a harp.
